Remember last year? Pepsi's nostalgia campaign featuring pop diva Britney Spears - it was a huge online success, creating an incredible level of buzz.

So the question remained, how were they ever going to top that? Well short of cloning Michael Jackson, there was only one act that even had a chance of competing - that's right they landed The Osbournes.

Interestingly from an internet marketing perspective, they are starting the buzz/media/pr campaign now, with the internet acting as a central communication point for this onslaught.

To my mind, given what I've seen over the last couple of years, Pepsi seem to have found an effective way of positioning the internet within their overall marketing strategy. Coca-Cola aren't even close.
