Viacom announced that Intel and Pepsi have both signed on as sponsors of the delivery of programming to mobile phones, reports Reuters.
The two companies will sponsor mobile video delivery of content from MTV and Comedy Central to mobile devices. They'll receive placement alongside the programming as well as on the mobile-friendly websites for both channels under the terms of the deal.
Mobile is being viewed by Viacom and other media companies as an entirely new, or at least not yet maximized, revenue stream.
Other Viacom networks, such as Nickelodeon and CMT, will be receiving mobile sites later this year.
