MediaPost: Half-Page Ads Go B-to-B
Penton launched what it deems the first B-to-B half page online ad units on its Windows and .NET web sites. Half page ad units are not new to the online world with New York Times Digital and CBS MarketWatch offering the size, but Penton thought this was enough of a first in the B-to-B sector to run a press release. They clearly don't read Internet Advertising Report, as they would have seen the now almost prevalent format there and at other business sites. Microsoft is the first advertiser to use Penton's new units.
Marketingwonk.com will soon announce the 33/64ths ad unit, to be followed up in Europe with its metric equivalents, as soon as we can get our crack PR team sobered up.
