Poynter: Weblogs: The Print Controversy

Giving blogs a taste of their own fair use medicine, a German newspaper started printing blog excerpts as a regular feature. The Frankfurt paper launched last week was designed for young hipsters, containing an "Interactive" page that includes the blog pieces. It did not ask permission, but after the blogosphere ginned up a few hundred hateful screeds directed at the new paper, the publisher apologized.
