Page Ranking Dispute

Slashdot: "Google Sued over Page Ranking"

Search King - a self proclaimed competitor of Google is suing after being relegated to PageRank of zero. Google only imposes such punishment if they think a site has broken their regulations. Search King deny that they've done anything wrong, claiming that Google has "used their influence to damage the reputation and restrict the fair trade of a competitor."

Update: A touch of confusion - Search King's PageRank only fell from 7 to 4, rather than to zero, as implied by Bob Massa - CEO, SearchKing, Inc. That being the case, it appears that Search King have simply been hit by the significant changes made to the Google Algorithm at the last update, rather than being manually and specifically penalised. To my mind this stinks of a PR stunt, and I expect the complaint to be withdrawn. Google has no case to answer.
