Online Shopping's Better on The Man's Dime

The web's always open for business, but online shoppers tend to browse and buy during business hours, on weekdays, according to data from the Coremetrics LIVEmark Index, reports InternetRetailer. Retail sites received 40 percent more visitors, and 53 percent more who purchased, on weekdays than on weekends during September.

Some 62 percent of weekday visits occurred between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Central Time, and weekday daytime visits to the sites were 15 percent more likely to result in a purchase than visits in the evening. Visits to retailers' sites peaked at midday on weekdays, between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m.
