Online sales passed the $3 billion mark for the week ended Dec. 18, increasing 29 percent to $3.03 billion from $2.35 billion in the corresponding week in 2004, reports InternetRetailer, citing comScore figures. A week earlier, online sales totaled $3.07 billion, exceeding the $3 billion mark for the first time. Online travel sales were up 25 percent, reaching $1.06 billion from $851 million in the corresponding week a year earlier.
