Online Sales Up 24 percent for Holidays, 28 Percent for Week

Online sales for the week ended November 13 totaled $1.89 billion, 28 percent more than the $1.47 billion in the corresponding week a year ago, reports InternetRetailer, citing comScore figures. Online travel sales were 15 percent greater than a year ago, reaching $1.02 billion from $884 million.

During the holiday shopping season, November 1 to December 2, online sales have totaled $9.75 billion, up 24 percent from $7.84 billion in the year-ago period.
