Online sales were up 29 percent for the week ending June 26 compared with the corresponding week a year ago, reaching $1.32 billion from $1.02 billion, reports Internet Retailer, citing comScore figures. Online travel sales were up a whopping 53 percent for the week, reaching to $1.2 billion from the $792 million for the corresponding week last year. By comparison, total retail sales for the week ending June 25 were up 6.9 percent from the corresponding week in 2004, according to ShopperTrak.
