Internet Retailer: E-sales hit another billion-dollar week in mid May, up 13% from year ago
E-commerce was up for the week ending May 16, but not much relative to the blazing pace set in the last few months. Online sales for the week ending May 16 grew to $1.08 billion, up 13 percent from the same week last year, according to comScore. This gain came in the face of downward retail pressure across the economy, with general sales down 8.3 percent. Online travel sales growth continued its unrelenting rise, hitting 1.03 billion, up 38 percent.
