Internet Retailer: Online retail spending rises 32% in first week of March
A longitudinal tracking study by comScore indicates online sales grew 32 percent in the first week of March over the same period last year. The pace is dramatically higher than the growth from the previous week, which was only 17 percent. Spending grew to $1.23 billion from roughly $930 million. Online travel sales grew at an even faster pace, rising 70 percent to $1.25 billion.
