Several major multi-channel retailers, including eBay, Shop NBC and the Home Shopping Network, have formed the Online Retail Alliance, initially to be funded by the Electronic Retailing Association, to develop strategies for dealing with legislative and technological issues facing web merchants, reports InternetRetailer. The group will address privacy, sales taxes and internet neutrality - issues that are expected to be the subject of congressional and consumer group actions in what is expected to be an active upcoming lobbying season.
