Online job ads have continued to increase, as print ads in newspapers have decreased, writes MediaPost. It cites the Conference Board's May Help-Wanted Advertising Index, released Thursday, showing that the volume of help-wanted advertising in print editions of 51 major newspapers dipped two percentage points in May, compared with both April 2005 and May 2004. Meanwhile, recent data from Corzen shows that listings for jobs on three major online job sites have grown in the last year: May job postings on the CareerBuilder Web site rose to 1,322,812 from 1,105,120 (19.7 percent) in May 2004; listings on HotJobs climbed to 589,883 from 464,259 (27.1 percent); and Monster job listings increased from 998,544 to 1,157,576 (15.9 percent).
