The number of new online help-wanted postings on major U.S. internet job boards increased in June, but growth has slowed, reports Reuters, citing figures from the Conference Board. June volume increased 3 percent, to nearly 2.44 million, from about 2.35 million in May.
Despite the increase, "the monthly growth rate has slowed over the last several months," said Gad Levanon, economist at the Conference Board, in a statement. The Conference Board measures the number of new, first-time online job ads posted on more than 1,200 major internet job boards and smaller, niche job boards.
