Online Holiday Shoppers Waiting Longer to Start

One of three online shoppers plans to start online holiday shopping by the end of October, compared with nearly four of ten (38 percent) last year, according to a new survey.

More online shoppers (39 percent) this year plan to begin their online holiday shopping in early to mid-November, up from 36 percent last year, according to a Shopzilla survey by BizRate, writes Internet Retailer. Those planning to begin Thanksgiving weekend constitute 15 percent, compared with 14 percent last year.

And 14 percent of online shoppers are waiting to begin online holiday shopping in December, up from 12 percent last year.
