Online retailers say consumers will begin Christmas shopping before long, according to a survey conducted by e-commerce technology provider LaGarde, reports Internet Retailer. More than 25 percent of surveyed merchants say holiday shopping for their online stores starts in August or September. More than 60 percent say the season starts before Nov. 1. They also say they spend the most in October on holiday promotions. Some 75 percent of online retailers expect an increase in sales this year, and 21 percent say they expect a "considerable" increase.
