ClickZ: Study: 'Newspaper Loyalists' More Loyal to Web
The most loyal newspaper readers still find the web to be a better source of breaking news. They are starting to read newspapers more as a form of leisure, according to a new Yahoo study. More than two thirds of them read news online every day, while fewer than half pick up a newspaper on any given day. The study also found that advertising drove sales both online and offline. Just under a third of the study's 1,200 survey takers said they bought newspaper-advertised items only online. About third said they purchased only offline, and just over a third said they did both.
