Gartner G2 Analyst Denise Garcia, in this transcript of her presentation to attendees at the Beaver Creek Agency Summit, presented the firm's Advertising Trends Report that explored the issues facing seven vertical industries as they relate to online advertising.
Also addressed was how the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 will have an effect on marketing efforts for these sectors. Garcia says four vertical markets (automotive, financial services, pharmaceutical and travel) will increase Internet advertising and three (manufacturing, retail and technology) will decrease.
