Sun just rising for online gaming
Online game publisher and developer Trion World Networks just snagged $30 million in its latest round of funding, thanks to Time Warner and NBC, reports Next-Gen.
The funding will go toward development, publishing new titles as well as "entertainment franchises."
Time Warner's Investments Senior VP Rachel Lam is quoted as saying, "Trion’s network service model for connected entertainment has the potential to dramatically impact how our industry creates and monetizes content, and how consumers participate in the entertainment experience.”
