On Itsmy.com, Users Launch Mobile TV Programs

Off-deck mobile social network Itsmy.com now enables users to create personal mobile TV shows.

Mobile shows marry user content with ready-to-use sound files, typically used for TV-style openings. Each comes complete with a sub-domain.

Users can promote their sites via text message or email.

Over 100,000 users have launched mobile TV shows, which last between 30 seconds and 2 minutes. Each episode can be streamed or downloaded.

Itsmy.com, an ad-supported service based in Munich, doubled its community to 1 million registered users from July 2007. It attributes its EU and US success to word-of-mouth.
