The candidate is tough to
distinguish from young fans
Barack Obama isn't just young; he's quick to make friends. MySpace has been a clear ally from the beginning of his campaign push, and Facebook has recently leaped onto the train, reports The Wall Street Journal. The networking darling for coeds is not just hosting an Obama page; they are actively campaigning.
At the heart of Obama's Facebook campaign is 23-year-old Chris Hughes, one of the creators of the social networking site. Hughes has reportedly put his career on hold to work on Obama's campaign full-time.
Obama's frontier media campaign doesn't solely depend on the power of friends, however. His website empowers users to set up their own Obama campaign drives. The site alone has been responsible for $25 million of Obama's campaign war chest.
