NYT Sells Claria Ads, Stops, Starts Again, Stops

DM News: From 'Parasite' to Advertiser: Times Site Runs, Then Pulls, Claria Ads

Even though The New York Times sued Claria (settling a year and a half a go) calling the company a "parasite," the Gray Lady began allowing Claria ads to run on its NYT Digital site yesterday - at least until a reporter from DM News called up to ask for comment. Claria, formerly called Gator, had pointed out during the original lawsuit that the plaintiffs, including the New York Times, had been users of its behavioral targeting network.
