The New York Times has announced the expansion of its print and online car sections. The Automobiles section that appears in the Sunday Times will be enhanced, and relaunched on May 14 with the addition of three half-pages of new editorial content, reports MediaBuyerPlanner.
On May 15, The Times will also unveil its redesigned Automobiles section at NYTimes.com to complement the expanded print section. The online section will carry exclusive content such as additional car reviews, added video features, a national directory of car clubs and an interactive events calendar.
According to the company, the new initiatives provide well-integrated print and online advertising opportunities to both engage readers' interests and meet advertiser demands.
