NY Times Doubles Digital Profit

DM News: NYTD Doubles Profit, Online Ad Sales Rise

The New York Times Digital saw revenues increase by 27 percent over last year in the second quarter, doubling its operating profit from $4.3 million to $8.9 million. The company attributed the rise to growing demand for online advertising. The New York Times newspaper unit grew two percent, and its broadcast unit grew 11 percent.
