The North Face - a global provider of technical outdoor apparel and gear - announced that it has partnered with Pace Communications to launch a new online magazine called Epic, which targets outdoor adventure enthusiasts, reports MediaBuyerPlanner. Epic will feature advice, trends and coverage of events and expeditions of interest both to athletes and to consumers, uniting the adventure sports industry across multiple disciplines, including video feeds, live chats and photo slideshows.
Athletes and other contributing experts will share their tips on everything from packing light to finding the best equipment to recipes for meals on the go, which readers can upload to their iPods.
"With Epic, we can now work with our athletes to more frequently share experiences from expeditions, offer advice and serve as a conversation piece within the outdoor community," said Joe Flannery, vice-president of marketing for The North Face.
