Taking on iTunes in Europe
Nokia has opened an online music store in Germany, its second store since the first opened in the UK last November.
By the end of the first half of 2008, Nokia's music store will open in seven more European countries, including France, Italy and Spain, in addition to stores in Australia and Singapore.
Nokia charges 1 euro per track, a cent more than iTunes' 0.99 euro price. Amazon, whose music store typically charges $0.10 less than iTunes in the US, also expects to go international this year.
