DM News: Evidence of No-Call Closings Unclear

Despite much carping before the implementation of the Do Not Call Registry, the telemarketing industry isn't firing all of its employees. DM News reports it found four reported telemarketing firm closings, amounting to less than a thousand lay-offs. This might be due to the fact that a great number of telemarketing employees were part-time or contract workers, or it might indicate that the DNC Registry is not being enforced as well as participants might hope.
