Nissan Continues Cushy Heroes Sponsorship

Nissan is extending a sponsorship deal with NBC for its hit show Heroes, reports Variety.

Per the terms of the deal, Nissan's advertising will appear alongside Heroes on TV, online and via wireless applications. It also covers the DVD release of the show's first season.

The car maker will get significant product placement which, in coordination with its ad efforts, it will use to promote its new Rogue crossover model.

Last year it used the deal was used to hype the Versa model.

Heroes has been a hit with the 18-34 demographic coveted by networks and advertisers. The sponsorship extension also gives Nissan a chance to protect the branding investment it has made thus far.

Nissan will buy all the airtime during the show's second season premiere, presenting the episode with limited commercial breaks.
