Nigerian Fraudsters Prey on Tsunami Sympathies

Nigerian email marketing scammers have, inevitably, started to exploit Asian tsunami sympathies around the world to collect money (via Western Union) for fake charities, according to ZDNet U.K.. An anti-fraud forum alleges that some messages sent out from a purported Singaporean charity asking for tsunami aid funds actually came from the world's fraud capital Lagos, Nigeria.
