Don't just connect;
connect with content
Content syndication platform Mochila has just formed its first social networking relationship, with white label platform Pringo.
Pringo is not itself a social network. Like its more casual rival Ning, it enables businesses or groups to create their own online communities.
Mochila shall integrate its marketplace interface onto Pringo, so social network admins can search for relevant content on the Mochila network, then publish it on their networks via RSS or API. This will help drive traffic to niche networks while availing new opportunities for segmented ad placement to advertisers.
A non-profit organization that builds a breast cancer social network on Pringo, for example, could use related Reuters content from Mochila to populate its pages and spark community discussion. Breast cancer-oriented advertisers could then target that network with content buys.
Mochila's content network includes over 3500 publishers.
