NFL Plays 'Create Ad for Us' Game for Super Bowl

The NFL will launch a new promotion later this month that will call upon fans to create a Super Bowl spot for the league.

The concept is this: "Pitch us your idea for the best NFL Super Bowl commercial ever. Seriously." according to AdWeek. The promotion will officially launch on October 31, with its own site - www.NFL.com/superad. The NFL is looking for a 30-second spot that's football-related, with no other brands mentioned.

The winning entry will be directed by Joe Pytka, who has directed 40 Super Bowl spots. The winner, along with seeing his or her winning submission featured during Super Bowl XLI, will receive two all-expense-paid trips to the Super Bowl.

The NFL will initially accept submissions in three markets in November and December: Nov. 17-18 at Giants Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J.; Dec. 1-2 at Texas Stadium, Irving, Texas; and Dec. 8-9 at Invesco Field at Mile High, Denver. From there, the field will be culled to 12 finalists and will be posted on the NFL's site.
