NFL and Yahoo Partner to Stream Football Games

The National Football League will stream a full season of live football games via the web to fans outside North America.

The NFL and Yahoo have partnered to offer NFL Game Pass, which will allow fans from abroad to watch NFL games, starting this Sunday, for $24.99 per week or $249.99 for the entire 17-week season, reports Reuters. The NFL effort follows those from Major League Baseball and the National Basketball Association.

"We believe that the Internet has matured to a certain point that it really is an efficient distribution mechanism," Brian Rolapp, the NFL's VP of media strategy is quoted as saying.

Yahoo said the agreement with the NFL was exclusive; it would not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
