JibJab took advantage of both its new relationship with Yahoo and the publicity around yesterday's sparkling Yahoo financial announcements to launch its latest Flash animation "Second Term!". Its animations have moved from relatively obscure viral efforts to planned and published offerings of content announced to the world press. Unfortunately, the Yahoo relationship doesn't seem to have improved the downloadability, with viewing on Yahoo often requiring - as it did back when JibJab hewed together its own distribution network - purchasing the downloadable version for $2.99 plus (oddly) $5 in shipping and handling. Cheaper viewers may try there luck here. The animation, much like the first Bush-Kerry political production "This Land Is Your Land," is actually funny, avoiding the simpler cheap-shot humor that a second, less successful installment attempted.
