PayPal will soon roll out a renovated Web site, the first major overhaul the site has done, reports GigaOm.
The e-payment site, now owned by eBay, was founded in 1998 and has not changed greatly since then. The market dominance it once enjoyed is now being challenged by Google, as well as others looking to get into the online payment game. The broader range of equally-competent options now available to users has likely played a role in moving forward with a site overhaul.
The new "beta" layout can be sampled on the PayPal homepage.
At the same time PayPal has introduced a corporate blog, authored by various executives in the company. The blog covers a number of topics, all related to products or other PayPal offerings.
