Happy flying.
InsideTrip, a new flight ticket search engine, seeks flights with the highest levels of quality instead of the highest degree of savings.
The site developed a rating system to determine a flight's overall quality. Quality is measured by three categories: speed, comfort, and ease. 12 "pain points" include number of stops, security, wait time, legroom, and gate location.
Though many travelers will always seek out the cheapest flight, InsideTrip founder David Pelter says that prices vary little across travel search engines, justifying the focus on quality. But particularly for long or arduous flights, user experience can make all the difference.
