Networks Board AOL's UserPlane for Branded Tools

Come on, get happy

TV networks are increasing site visits and subsequent engagement with AOL's Userplane licensed tools, reports MediaPost.

Userplane allows networks to license branded functionalities, including chat and video messaging. That can help increase visitors' time spent on the site and build the amount of interaction they have with the brand.

Userplane allows licensees to use its tools for free if they accept third-party advertising. Partner sites can also pay a monthly fee for an ad-free version.

Ads in Userplane are targeted based on user-provided information and come in banner or text formats.

A number of networks use the Userplane tools, including NBC, which incorporated it in an interactive experience for "The Office."
