Net Users Voracious Consumers of Other Media

Confirming research by others, Carat Insight told MediaPost that people who frequently use the Internet are also voracious users of other media. The interview-based study of 23,000 American adults found that heavy internet users watched 46 more minutes per day of TV than average. They also reported reading 16 or more magazine issues and 27 newspapers each month on average. Interestingly, while 43 percent of adults logged onto the internet in a month, only 18 percent did so each day.
