Net Travel Booking Popularity Further Hiked

iMedia: Online Travel Bug

Claria's Feedback Research group reports that 82 percent of internet users prefer to arrange travel online. About 60 percent had bought travel services online in the previous three months, with about two thirds of those using a major travel site such as Expedia or Travelocity. Airline tickets are the most sought item, with almost 90 percent of buyers including airfare in their purchased package. Hotels came in a distant second at just over 50 percent and only two out of five travel buyers booked a rental car. Not surprisingly, people like the online travel shopping mostly for price, with 82 percent saying that a "good price" was a dominant factor.
