According to Variety, NBC Universal announced the impending launch of Didja.com, an all-ad-all-the-time video portal.
The company is hoping Didja.com will be sought out, not only by consumers looking for a particular spot, but also by advertisers. Those advertisers will ideally be willing to shell out cash for premium placement or the ability to create branded channels on the site.
NBCU is looking for five to ten advertisers to get the ball rolling. Spots will be uploaded by the agency and played back in NBC's proprietary player.
The site is being launched under the notion that people are willing to spend more time engaged with advertising after all. There is currently no immediate date of avilability.
