NBC has announced plans to fold its video aggregation division into the still-unnamed video channel it is creating with News Corp., reports MultiChannel News.
The decision shifts all the content producers NBC has signed, to what is still tentatively dubbed NewSite. Its 150 existing partners include The History Channel, CNET and others.
It also closes NBBC, the division originally handling the content aggregation. Deals with partner creators let them upload video that could then be shared on other partner's sites.
NBBC alerted those partners of the shutdown in an email that went out on Monday.
