Humor franchise National Lampoon will launch a distribution network to seed the Internet with its video content, reports The Associated Press.
In an effort to attract more advertising dollars, National Lampoon will distribute short-form video to Veoh, Joost and YouTube. Those outlets will increase the reach of the videos it creates, most of which support the movies released under the National Lampoon name.
National Lampoon already operates its own video portals. Lycos, GoFish, Handheld Entertainment and Biggy TV will also be distributing the videos.
The teenage male audience typically drawn to the Lampoon brand of humor is heavily sought-after by advertisers.
