AdAge: New Napster Has Marketing Muscle, Advertainment Mascot
Napster is adding to its continuing saga of viral videos-turned-TV-spots. Reported on MarketingWonk back in July, the first spot shows the Napster Kitty escaping prison. In subsequent episodes, the Kitty is shown recovering in a hospital bed and entering an "online music negotiation" meeting which, in reality, is a bloody brawl. Humorously, the Kitty walks out with his own music distribution contract signed. The rest of the spots can be viewed here.
