MySpace to Pay $250 Million for PhotoBucket

Just weeks after a dispute between the two, MySpace has acquired Photobucket for $250 million, reports TechCrunch.

MySpace briefly blocked users from embedding Photobucket slideshows on their pages. The decision stemmed from Photobucket's Spiderman 3-themed slideshow frames, which MySpace said violated their terms of service.

Dispute resolution reportedly evolved into acquisition-speak.

Photobucket began looking for a buyer in March. The site generated $6.3 million in revenue in 2006 but aims for $25 million this year from its 40 million registered users.

Yesterday it was reported that Photobucket remains the top player in photo-sharing.
