Profanity with pomade
My Damn Channel, a heavily-backed online network that launched in late July, has just announced a content partnership with MySpace.
As expected, video from the channel will be distributed throughout the MySpace community.
My Damn Channel "empowers" artists to "co-produce, distribute and monetize original, episodic video content." The venture was born of a triumvirate of media personalities: music producer Don Was, movie director David Wain and comedian Harry Shearer.
The latest addition to this talent pool is Andy Milonakis, whose own show on My Damn Channel is premiering on 12 September.
"I wanted my own 'Damn channel' because it's a way to show that a real company is vouching for my weird insane mind. It makes me feel less crazy," Milonakis said.
The premiere will feature Milonakis "pondering the afterlife and the credentials for getting into heaven," according to a statement from the company.
