MTV is turning its popular reality show My Super Sweet 16 into a virtual brand, reports MediaWeek.
The site, MySuperSweet16.com, allows future debutantes to create over-the-top party plans and showcase what they've got planned to the online community.
MTV has been making a number of moves lately to create virtual executions of its popular programs. The Real World, Laguna Beach, Pimp My Ride and others have been turned into interactive websites or virtual worlds, along the lines of Second Life.
In the nation, about 80,000 girls turn 16 per week.
