Mobile radio provider mSpot is adding features, including ad support, to its business model, reports Mediaweek.
The service will start offering traffic reports every 10 minutes in the 30 cities where it operates. Traffic information will be provided by Traffic.com, part of a deal between the two companies.
mSpot and Traffic.com will split the revenue from ads sold against the reports, marking mSpot's debut into an ad-supported model. The company said ad support will yield new revenue, which in turn could be used for fresh programming options.
