MSN.com Show Competes Directly Against TV Coverage, Wins Sponsors

MSN.com fielded its own video New Years Eve coverage to compete directly against television, according to AdAge. Winning sponsorship from Olympus, Nokia and 1-800-Flowers, MSN presented several different feeds MC'ing the festivities in New York City's Times Square. 1-800-Flowers executive Jennifer Caccovo said they chose MSN because their event coverage was cheaper than the programs offered on television.
