MSNBC.com is offering local retailers and SMBs the opportunity to run ads on its site for as little as $50 per day, reports MediaBuyerPlanner.
Businesses can build and run customized online display ad campaigns in minutes through a new self-serve option through a partnership with AdReady.
The Seattle-based advertising technology company powers the platform, which MSNBC.com dubbed a "complete on-demand banner advertising solution."
The alliance gives marketers access to MSNBC.com's inventory on a geo-targeted basis. Local businesses can create customized ads from AdReady's library of creative templates; they can also use AdReady to measure the performance of their campaigns and to continuously test and optimize the performance of their ads.
MSNBC.com joins other sites that offer a do-it-yourself option, including Yahoo, The New York Times, MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, NaturalPath Media, Zillow and Trulia.
