MediaPost: MSN Butterflies Swarm Broadcast Upfronts
No I'm not a cicada
The MSN butterflies are at it again, flitting about TV upfront negotiation locations in New York City. The trade promotion effort represents the second year in a row Microsoft hit home the message to traditional buyers that "an integrated marketing plan isn't integrated without advertising online."
Butterflies have been seen infesting NBC and ABC upfront sites. Today, Microsoft said they it send the brood to Carnegie Hall, where CBS will be hosting its version of the overpriced TV ad negotiations. The insect mascots will presumably be sent to Fox's Thursday event, after which they will drill holes in the ground, lay their eggs next to young tree roots and then die.
