CNet: MSN search bot a glimpse of ambitions

For the last few days many webmasters have seen the new MSNBot start crawling their site. This doesn't tell us when Microsoft will switch to its own web search engine, but this at least gives the signal they eventually mean to do that. Or it could be just FUD but it makes sense that Microsoft doesn't rely on technology from a competitor (now that Inktomi belongs to Yahoo) for such a critical feature.
